How to link a Gmail or Outlook account to Winner Bizz

From 30.05.2022, it is no longer possible to connect to a Gmail account from an external application just using a Google account password. Users must set up multi-factor authentication.

Use the Auth2 method in Winner Bizz

1. In Winner Bizz, in the toolbar, select the More options icon:
   
   
   
   
2. Select the Users tab.
   
   
3. Choose the user the user wishes to edit.
   
   
4. Select the Email settings tab.
   
   
5. Create or edit the mailbox the user has configured in the previous steps.
   
   
6. Enter your email address, then tick the box Use Auth 2.0 credentials.
   
   
   
   
7. At the question Do you want Winner Bizz to fill the fields according to the standard configuration of your email account provider, tick Yes.
   
   
8. Click Save. You are then redirected to your browser to finalise the authentication.

Link with a temporary password

Users may have noticed that it is no longer possible to update their email list. To restore function, follow the process below:

Activate 2-step validation

1. Go to the user's Google Account settings.
   
   
2. Select the Security tab.
   
   
   
   
3. Select 2-step validation.
   
   
   
   
4. Select Begin button.
   
   
5. Enter the user's Google password and select Next.
   
   
6. Fill in the user's phone number and select Next.
   Note: The user will receive an authentication code from Google.
   
   
7. Enter the code the user received on their phone and select Next.
   The following window will appear:
   
   
   
   
8. Select Turn on.
   The user will then be able to consult all the information relating to their 2-step authentication.
   
   
9. Click the back arrow at the top of the window to return to the main Google security settings page.
   
   

Insert the temporary password in Winner Bizz

1. In the Security tab of the user's Google Account settings, make sure 2-step authentication is enabled, and then click App password.
   
   
   
   
2. Enter the user's Google password and select Next.
   
   
3. In the left column choose the mail option and in the right column choose which device the user wishes to generate the password for. 
   
4. Select Generate.
   
   
5. Copy the password from the yellow rectangle and select Done.
   
   
   
   Note: After clicking on Done, the user will be taken to the temporary password management page where it is possible to find out when the password was created and when it was last used. Users can delete it at any time and thus block Winner Bizz's access to their Gmail account.
   Users can also generate other temporary passwords.
   
   
6. In Winner Bizz, in the toolbar, select the More options icon: 
   
   
   
   
7. Select the Users tab.
   
   
8. Choose the user the user wishes to edit.
   
   
9. Select the Email settings tab.
   
   
10. Create or edit the mailbox the user has configured in the previous steps.
    
    
11. In the Password field, paste the password the user copied in step 5.
    Note: Users can test the configuration with Test.
