Complete Hardware Recommendations

The Store server will provide the following services:

• WINNER BIZZ & DESIGN Application Server:
  • Running the SQL Server database engine (Installation / Setup / SQL Server licenses provided by Compusoft)
  • Sharing directories to store files

Hardware requirements

For optimal use we recommend installing the Store Server on a dedicated physical machine, with the following minimum hardware requirements:

The Server must be able to access the Internet.

• The following ports must be open for output:
  • Port TCP 20 and 21 (FTPS) if used
  • Port TCP 25 (FTP)
  • Port TCP 80 (http/HTTPS)
  • Port TCP 443 (http/HTTPS)
  • Port TCP 587 (SMTP, with encryption)
  • Port TCP 995 IMAP
  • Port TCP 8080 (HTTP)
  • Port TCP 8081 (HTTP)
  • Port TCP 17656 to 17660 if Local SQL server
  • Port UDP 1434 if Local SQL server
  • Port TCP 1433 for cloud database

• We recommend at least the installation of an Antivirus on the Server:

This non-exhaustive list is subject to modification based on the modules and extensions installed by users. In the event that the software exhibits performance issues, please ensure that .exe files are excluded from the analysis.

• The following directories should be excluded from any analysis: 
  C:\Program Files (x86)\Compusoft\*.* (default installation location)
  Exclude the complete shared folder on the Server: server_name\Compusoft\
   
• The UAC (Windows User Account Control) feature must be disabled on the Server and Workstations. Your company's IT department will create a GPO on the Server that will disable UAC for the Server and Workstation
   
• A GPO will be installed by your company's IT department to register the following sites in the list of "Trusted Sites" on the Workstation and Server Web Browser(s):

  • For WINNER BIZZ: wb.compusoftgroup.com/onlinehelps/
     
• The Store Server must be located in a closed room with secure physical access only to authorised personnel.
   
• One of the server's power supplies must be connected to a UPS.

Hardware requirements

We recommend installing the WINNER BIZZ Client and WINNER DESIGN Client on a physical machine with the following minimum hardware requirements:

• Processor Intel Core I7 - 7700 - 3.6 GHz (minimum)
• 8 GB of RAM memory minimum (16 GB recommended)
• Hard Disk 256 GB minimum (SSD recommended). 100 GB of free disk space required.
• 1 Gigabit network card. Wired connection (RJ45) required.
• 1 Dedicated graphics card AMD (Radeon HD, R5, R7, R9, RX, +++) or NVIDIA (GeForce or QUADRO): 2GB (minimum) - 4GB (recommended) - Support Direct X11

We recommend the following graphics cards for your consideration:

• NVIDIA GeForce or QUADRO
• AMD Radeon HD, R5, R7, R9, RX, +++

NVidia and AMD chips are used by many graphics card manufacturers (Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Club 3D, Sapphire, LeadTek, etcetera). Graphics cards based on AMD or NVidia chips are therefore available under a wide variety of names.

It is therefore essential that your graphics card is based on a NVidia or AMD chip.

The following Video Cards are not compatible or supported:

• The entire range of Matrox video cards
• Video cards ATI Rage Pro, All-In-Wonder Pro, Expert@Play98, Expert98
• Video cards S3 GammaChrome
• Video cards SIS
• Video cards XGI Volari
• Video cards IntelHD

The configuration proposed below is in addition to the configuration requested by Winner Design.

• For laptops and desktops running Winner Bizz, to connect to local servers or cloud databases.

Software requirements

The WINNER BIZZ Client and the WINNER DESIGN Client are compatible with the following Operating Systems:

• Windows 10^® - Professionnal x64
• Windows 11^® - Professionnal x64

WINNER BIZZ and WINNER DESIGN do not support Mac OS.

It is recommended that you regularly install the latest Windows® service packs and updates.

Other software resources required:

The following software resources are required for the operation of the WINNER BIZZ & DESIGN client:

• Internet Browser installed, up to date and set as the default web browser for all users.
• Adobe ACROBAT READER (free) or other pdf reader, installed and set as default pdf reader for all Users. 
  Note: Edge should not be set as default pdf reader.
• TeamViewer 12 installed and active at Windows startup on the server.

Firewall rules

• Network configuration
  • The Workstation must have an IP address in the local network (Fixed or DHCP)
  • The Workstation must be able to access the internet.
• At a minimum, Workstation users must have sufficient Windows rights for WINNER BIZZ and WINNER DESIGN applications to write to their own C:\Program Files (x86)\Compusoft (default install) directories.

Note: Tell users that a daily reboot of their workstation is imperative. This reboot will allow the business software to be maintained in operational conditions, in its most up-to-date version. Also, tell users to shut down their workstations each evening and restart them in the morning when they arrive at the warehouse.

Hardware requirements

For a stable and fast communication between the different elements of the Warehouse Information System: Server, PC, Copier(s), we recommend the acquisition and installation of the following network components:

• Internet Access Solution
• Local Network:
  • 1 Gb local network speed.
  • RJ45 - Category 6 cabling between the various equipment.
  • No WiFi.

Firewall rules

The Server must be able to access the Internet.

• The following ports must be open for output:
  • Port TCP 20 and 21 (FTPS) if used.

In order to limit as much as possible, the risk of total or partial unavailability of the Information System, the following points should be well taken into account and implemented:

• Daily automated and outsourced backup of the Store Server data. In the event of a need for a complete rapid reinstallation of the WINNER BIZZ & DESIGN Server, a daily full backup of this machine is strongly recommended.
   
• At the very least, it is imperative that the Directories of the Server: C:\Program Files (x86)\Compusoft\Winner Bizz\Backups be backed up and outsourced daily, outside working hours. This does not concern cloud installations.
   
• The backup tool selected should guarantee the security and archiving of data for potential later restoration.
   
• We recommend a backup history of at least 7 sliding days in order to be able to restore data to an earlier date in the event of a virus infection detected late.

VPN connection

• Not required for the cloud solution.
   
• Software VPNs are not allowed to be used for the proper functioning of different applications.
   
• VPN connections are not recommended for connecting client computers to servers (remote or not).
   
• VPNs must be suitable for business use, stable, fully operational and have high performance. Hardware VPNs are strongly recommended.
   
• If your business environment uses VPN connections to connect different branches, please be aware that this can lead to different types of performance issues or bandwidth restrictions.

Important notes on backups

Please ensure that your system administrator backs up not only the Winner Bizz system folders but also the Winner Bizz SQL databases in your daily backups.

Winner Bizz provides you with a wizard to generate daily backups of Winner Bizz SQL databases.

These backup files must be copied in a safe and secure environment. Saving or copying the *.mdf file of the Winner Bizz database is not sufficient.

Microsoft SQL Server Licences

Winner Bizz requires an instance of Microsoft SQL Server. The cost of these licences can be deducted from your contract. Apart from the runtime licence, no additional SQL Server licence is required. Winner Bizz will work exclusively on the Microsoft server, SQL Server runtime license provided by Compusoft. The version of SQL Server provided by Compusoft is licensed only for Winner Bizz and may not be used for any other purpose.
