Q&A: Named Licenses Management

From Winner Bizz version12.0i, named licences are available for Winner Bizz’ Cloud users.

A Named licence allows several users licences under the same Licence number. This is an asset for users: the licence is no longer linked to the computer, it is now linked to the user account. Users can connect wherever they want, provided they use an account with Named Licence access.

This enables more flexibility in the management of users: if a user is absent for a period of time, you can remove their access from Winner Bizz and assign it to someone else.

How many licences are available in one Named licence package?

The package are tailormade according to your needs. If you are interested with the Named Licence solution, get in touch with your Compusoft contact.

How do I allocate or remove licences?

Once your Named license activated, you can manage the licences given to other users. 

Note: You need the user role User edit to be able to allocate or remove licences.

Select Other > Users. The list of all users registered in your company will be displayed.

Click on a user, select Licenses and choose Allocate. This user will automatically be able to connect and use Winner Bizz.



To remove the access, click on the user, select Licenses > Remove. 

To see how many licences have been allocated, select Licenses > Overview. The Named Licenses window will open, and you will see the quantity of licences available and the quantity of licences already attributed. 

What happens if I remove a user's access accidentally? 

• There are licences still available in your package: The next time this user connects, he will still be able to log in and use Winner Bizz. A licence will be automatically granted.
  
  
• There are more licences available in your package: An error message will be displayed to the user, informing them they do not have access. A user with the right User edit can connect to remove a licence from an inactive user and allocate it to this user.

Can I access Winner Bizz with the same account on several computers at the same time?

No, you can only use the same user account on one computer at a time. If you try to connect on two different computers with the same user account at the same time, an error message will be displayed asking you to close the other Winner Bizz instance to proceed. 

If Winner Bizz freezes on one computer and is impossible to close, you can connect on your other computer after 20 minutes.

Why can't I enter my Winner Design license key in Winner Bizz anymore? 

You don't need to enter your Winner Design license key in Winner Bizz because your Named license is attributed to Winner Bizz. Therefore, the License key option in application settings are no longer present.

I have reached the maximum number of licences in my package, how do I add more?
