I have several shops. How should I set them up?
Users must register every client computer from the different shops to the same CS Office customer entry. Then, every computer will use the same Cloud database (including multi-shops).
I already have a server. Can I use it as a file server?
Yes, users can optimise the software updates and catalogue installations for the client computers in the same local network. All the client computers will use the same binary files and will be connected to the Cloud database.
To proceed, users first have to install WB. Then, after the installation, users can launch the ClientSetup.exe from each client computer, to install them as Client computer connected to the Files Server installed previously.
What about the laptop solution?
The laptop solution is not available anymore for Cloud database, but since the information and data are available from everywhere, at any time, the laptop can be installed as independent computer. The advantage is that everything will be possible on the laptop. No synchronisation is required, but users must have a stable internet connection.
What about the shop replication?
The shop replication is no longer required. Every client computer from a company will be connected to the same Cloud database. All data will be instantly available.
Is it still possible to install WB locally on the server?
Yes, compared to v11.5, there is no change regarding the local installation.
The local server, replicated environment, clients and laptops solutions are still available for local installation.
What about the SQL Server licenses?
SQL Server licenses are no longer required for customers using Compusoft Cloud database.
What are the functional differences between WB as local installation and as Cloud installation?
Today, there is no difference. Everything users can do locally can be done on the Cloud and vice versa. But that may change, since the Cloud architecture opens-up opportunities for functionalities adapted to new customers.
What about current WB customers with local installations?
The current Winner Bizz customers have the possibility to migrate from the local database to the Cloud database.
How can many users be connected to the same Cloud database?
There is no limitation. Users can connect all other users of a customer account to the same Cloud database.
How much does this new service cost?
Users should contact their manager or sales manager for more information.
