In Winner Bizz, you can control the installation of new, updated software versions, for example, to validate them before releasing the update to other users.
Download available version
If you wish to be notified by email when a new version of Winner Bizz is available for download, or when an error has occurred during a download, go to Other > Application settings > Application settings > Monitoring tab > Binpatch availability and download issues type > Edit, and enter your email address.
Installation
| Note! No automatic installations are carried out on Fridays, Saturday or Sunday. Automatic installations are only performed from 10:00 on Mondays until Thursday evenings. This policy ensures that our team can focus on providing the highest quality service during weekdays. |
Go to Other > Help And Support > Version download and installation
There are four types of installation modes available:
- Auto: When a new version is detected, the download and installation will start automatically.
- Manual: When a new version is detected, the download will start automatically, but the installation will be completed manually.
To launch the installation manually, users need to double-click on the Binpatch from the \download folder of the Winner Bizz installation. For example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Compusoft\Winner Bizz\Download. However, this file location is subject to where you chose to install Winner Bizz.
- Validate major versions: A user with the correct user rights must validate a new major version at a given time. Every new hotfix version following this will install automatically, without validation.
- Validate all versions: A user with the correct user rights must validate every new version, both major and hotfixes.
Note: The validation modes are effective even for restricted versions.
Validating a new version
To validate a new version, you should go to Other > Help and Support > Installations.
- Choose the version to be validated.
- Choose the date from which the version will be installed. Once the version is validated, the new version will be downloaded the next time Winner Bizz is started.
- Click Save.
- The overview tab allow user to see the status of each machine in your company
Note: There is no longer a version download check frequency. Each time Winner Bizz is launched, it will check for a new version. Note! In order to avoid running obsolete versions which may lead to a degraded user experience, users with an obsolete version will have a warning message displayed at each Winner Bizz launch after:
